Helaine Bader is a passionate public well being advocate and the vp of schooling for HealthyWomen. She has spent the final 20 years within the fields of well being schooling, communications and advocacy — serving to individuals perceive how one can keep wholesome and stop illness; working with grassroots organizations to deal with well being disparities and well being literacy in communities all through the U.S.; and bringing multidisciplinary organizations, consultants, and establishments collectively to deal with points by collective motion.
Early in her profession, Helaine carried out epidemiological analysis within the perinatology division at a hospital and labored as a fellow within the breast most cancers division of the Nationwide Most cancers Institute. She later managed the worldwide communications technique for a Heart of Excellence in Drug Discovery at GlaxoSmithKline. From 2004 to 2010, Helaine labored for Digene (later QIAGEN), directing the worldwide advocacy efforts in cervical most cancers.
