A pair weeks in the past, Freddie and I went to our good friend Adam’s house for dinner…
Adam made scrumptious pasta with beans and tomatoes.
We drank wine and chatted about films and books and youngsters.
And Adam’s canine Winston seemed very candy among the many chaos.
However one of the best half? After we completed dinner, Adam pulled heat chocolate chip cookies out of the oven!!! “I make this dough the day earlier than,” he advised me. “Then I scoop spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined sheet, flatten them, sprinkle with sea salt, and hold within the fridge in a single day. Whereas I’m serving dinner, I pre-heat the oven to 350 levels and pop them in. After about quarter-hour, I take them out and serve them heat.”
How scrumptious is that? Freshly baked cookies felt so particular, like we had been little children once more. “You simply eat them and really feel comfortable,” says Adam, and he’s completely proper.
What do you wish to serve for dessert? Any favourite cookie recipes? Additionally, Adam and I will likely be speaking on stage about his fantastic new novel, Food Person, on May 20th at the Brooklyn Public Library — please be a part of us!
P.S. Three strategic starters for a dinner party, the best host gift, and a funny conversation starter.
