“A very long time in the past, you talked about you’d by no means shaved or waxed your bikini line,” wrote a reader named Emma. “May you elaborate on why? I’ve at all times puzzled!” Properly, I’m completely happy to share…

My reply is absolutely easy: I’ve delicate pores and skin, and I’m a wuss, haha. I don’t need to go right into a waxing place and get my hair ripped out; it sounds so painful, omg. Plus, I really feel tremendous having hair there, and my feeling is that if I’m going to mattress with somebody, I need us each to really feel so excited and heat and completely happy and shut that we’re tremendous with regardless of the actual hair state of affairs is on both of our our bodies. One caveat: I don’t have loads of hair, and I feel my reply is likely to be completely different if I had extra rising exterior my swimsuit space.

Additionally, after I was getting back onto the dating scene, my sister really helpful this bikini trimmer. I attempted it and appreciated it, and now I exploit it every time I’m within the temper — most likely each couple months — to have much less hair, with no need to completely shave or wax. It’s fully painless and form of enjoyable to mess around with.

Ideas? So curious to listen to what you do and the way you’re feeling about it! Each physique is completely different, and folks have all kinds of preferences and experiences. As with all physique/intercourse/parenting/relationships/life questions, “Good for her, not for me.” xoxo

P.S. Twist: I like the word “moist”, and did you have sex on your wedding night? Additionally, five ways to talk to kids about consent, and why I regularly talk about periods with my sons.
